Peter Schiff: Why government guaranteed student loans are a terrible idea. (Part 1) (by voogru)
Peter Schiff talks with a college graduate that has nearly $200,000 in student loan debt because of the government.
This should be a blatantly clear example of why the government needs to get the hell out of the education sector.

March 15, 2011 - US researchers say use of sugar should be regulated as it is addictive and dangerous.
These people are like the Calvinists. They are concerned that somewhere somehow people are having fun and they must be stopped from having fun at all costs. Who cares the sugar free stuff is more dangerous to the health of the public.

Why Rush Limbaugh apologized: capitalism
Rush Limbaugh is a big fan of capitalism and frequently touts his “obscene profit time outs” (commercial breaks) on his show. Historically, his listeners have been extremely loyal to the the brands he endorses, and advertisers pay top dollar for his stamp of approval.
This week, however, Rush found himself the recipient of the painful side of how a capitalist economy works as advertisers voiced their displeasure at his remarks regarding far-left abortion activist Sandra Fluke and pulled their funds from his show.
from The Hollywood Gossip:
The hashtag #BoycottRush has spread around Twitter and two Facebook pages calling for a boycott have garnered more than 18,000 and 6,000 Likes by this morning. Moreover, nine companies - including Legal Zoom, Citrix Success, Heart and Body Extract, AutoZone and Quicken Loans - have pulled ads from Limbaugh’s show.
These companies were some of Rush’s main sponsors, and today yet another big sponsor joined the fray and left, even after Rush apologized for his choice of words.
From David Friend, CEO of Carbonite:
No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.
I’ve read of a lot of criticism from the right in the last 24 hours regarding Rush’s decision to apologize, but in the end Rush and other business leaders like him will follow the money. This is how capitalism works. There was no need for congress to draft a bill banning “incendiary, hateful speech.” His advertisers voted with their feet and Rush changed his tune.
Take note, conservatives: boycotts work. Capitalism works. We have Rush Limbaugh to prove it.
'Reasonable Profits' Board proposed in Congress
Six House Democrats, led by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), want to set up a “Reasonable Profits Board” to control gas profits.
The Democrats, worried about higher gas prices, want to set up a board that would apply a “windfall profit tax” as high as 100 percent on the sale of oil and gas, according to their legislation. The bill provides no specific guidance for how the board would determine what constitutes a reasonable profit.
Randian in its proposed governmental scope. This was tried before in the ’30s…
Spoiler Alert: these ‘boards’ failed to do anything but make things worse then too.
New Voter Fraud In Washington State (Fake Caucus Delays) (by R11110000)
I am not surprised by this. Our election system is rigged. Has been for 50+ years. It is the illusion of choice. Our birthright was sold long ago. If it was a true election with no fraud. Ron Paul could win. The system however is not set up to be crime free. It is set up to move ever closer to world goverment.

Lost in Litigation: Sue or survive in America (by RussiaToday)
Public outcry is growing in the US at emergency services’ seeming policy of standing by while houses burn down and people drown, if services have not been previously paid for. A spate of real-life incidents has sparked concern over what kind of society America is becoming. The recent series of shocking accidents forced homeowners in one of the counties to watch as their houses and possessions burned to the ground. And the firefighters were right there watching, as well. All because the owners didn’t pay the US$75 “fire subscription fee”, known as the “pay for spray” charge. In the US, fire policy varies from state to state, and from county to county.

There is Hope for Education in America! Andrew Campanella Tells Us Why (by ReasonTV)
“We can’t do this to kids. We are paying far too much money for a public education system that isn’t working,” says Vice President of National School Choice Week Andrew Campanella.
Everyone knows that the U.S. education system is in trouble. Campanella offers a few words on how school choice week can help with promoting “access to better options and empowering parents and kids.”
According to Campanella, the U.S. ranks 35th in the world in math and literacy.
“Other countries are not just nipping at our heels educationally, they’ve lapped us,” Campanella says.
Campanella contends that school choice offers real solutions to raising the bar and educating the next generation, and that it’s not just empty words.
