Men from the UAE deported from Saudi Arabia for being too handsome
An annual cultural festival in Saudi Arabia was interrupted when three men from the United Arab Emirates were ejected for being too handsome. The men were hastily deported to Abu Dhabi amid fears they would woo female visitors.
A family got the scare of their lives as drug agents swarmed their property due to report of suspected meth lab -- turns out to be sweet maple syrup

A Union County family got the scare of their lives on Wednesday morning as drug agents swarmed onto their property.
“I heard the dogs barking. And I knew that meant somebody was outside the house,” said Laura Benson. “And I looked out the windows and I seen a truck coming up the driveway fairly fast. And an Anna police car right behind it.”
At first, Laura says she thought her son had done something wrong. Then she says she couldn’t believe her ears when she heard the drug agents say this.
“They had a report of a meth lab going on on our property. And they wanted to investigate it.”
So the Benson’s gladly showed the officers what they really were doing, which was making their own maple syrup.
“They pointed to the buckets and I told them my husband has a hobby of making maple syrup. Of course they realized it once they seen it,” said Laura. “But I was quite startled this morning.”
The Benson’s want to thank their neighbors for being so alert and notifying the police.
“I think my neighbors on their way to church see the buckets and stuff and think we’ve got a meth lab operation going on here. I just want to put their minds at ease, and let them know it’s maple syrup. And that they’re all welcome for pancakes if they want to come on over.”
The Benson’s have been making their own maple syrup for the past five years. This was the first time they’ve been mistaken for a meth lab.
They even gave the agents a sample of their syrup to take home and enjoy.

Sheriff Candidate Charged With Attempted Kidnapping of a Retired Judge.
James Bartee is charged with solicitation to commit a felony.
A judge released Bartee on a personal recognizance bond on Thursday morning.
The judge said he does consider Bartee a flight risk. Bartee was required to surrender his passport and can have no contact with the alleged victim in the case.
WYFF News 4 was the only news organization there when Bartee was led into jail.
Solicitor Chrissy Adams said evidence was captured on audio surveillance, and Bartee gave a person money to buy items needed for the kidnapping.
Bartee, who is a retired U.S. Secret Service agent, is one of four candidates for Oconee County sheriff. He is accused of trying to arrange to have retired circuit Judge James C. Williams Jr. kidnapped.
Bartee is accused of trying to arrange the kidnapping after Williams filed an action asking for a judgment on whether Bartee was qualified to run for sheriff. The action also asked for an injunction against creating ballots with Bartee listed as a candidate.
Williams’ filing claims that Bartee is ineligible to run for sheriff because he was never a certified law enforcement officer under state law.
The decision on Bartee’s candidacy was to be made by Judge Cordell Maddox.
A Pennsylvania police officer was charged with trespassing and criminal mischief after allegedly breaking into his neighbor’s house to do laundry
(AP) AVALON, Pa. - Dirty clothes have a Pittsburgh-area police officer in hot water.
Rankin police Officer Jason Rocco is charged with trespassing and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a neighbor’s home to wash his clothes.
Rocco was arraigned Saturday and released on his own recognizance.
WPXI-TV ( http://bit.ly/L6xvKc) reports the home’s owner noticed his electric bill was unusually high, given that he hadn’t lived in the house for months. When the owner visited, investigators say he found the dryer running with Rocco’s clothes inside.
Avalon police who questioned Rocco say he told investigators the home’s back door was already broken and he “just had to do some laundry.”
A phone listing for Rocco could not be located Wednesday. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

I think there exists the potential that this is a minor stop-and-peek kind of tactic. Basically, they want you to stop, open your window, say something to them, and take the dollar. Anyone who drives through there who refuses the dollar, refuses to open their window, may just look suspicious. I would stay away from there.
It looks a little suspicious. I mean… c’mon, are you that blind? A bank and a police department wants to give out money at an intersection? LoL. I don’t think you have to be a conspiracy theorist to see that they’re using money as bait. You can bet the people will line up.
If I was going to go through there, I would put a sticker on the back of my car that says “Your (money laundering) bank still sucks and so do the police departments it pays for”.
